Pahalgam Terror Attack: In the wake of the devastating terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, US Vice President JD Vance has issued a heartfelt statement extending his deepest condolences to the victims and their families. Expressing his sorrow over the tragic loss of innocent lives, Vance described the attack as horrific and called on both the United States and India to mourn the horrific violence.

Russian President Vladimir Putin Extends Condolences 

Russian President Vladimir Putin extended heartfelt condolences to Indian President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the tragic terrorist attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Putin condemned the attack, which targeted innocent civilians from various countries, and emphasised that such a brutal act has no justification. He called for the punishment of those responsible and reiterated Russia's commitment to enhancing cooperation with India in combating terrorism. Putin also expressed sympathy to the families of the victims and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.

Prime Minister Modi's Strong Condemnation

Prime Minister Modi, too, expressed his strong condemnation of the Pahalgam attack. On Tuesday, he took to social media platform X to share his heartfelt condolences.

In his post, Modi stated, "I strongly condemn the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Condolences to those who have lost their loved ones. I pray that the injured person recovers as soon as possible. All possible assistance is being provided to those affected." He went on to reassure the public that those responsible for the heinous attack would be held accountable, emphasizing that the government's commitment to combating terrorism remains unwavering. "Those behind this heinous act will be brought to justice...they will not be spared! Their evil agenda will never succeed. Our resolve to fight terrorism is unshakeable, and it will get even stronger," he added.

The attack has drawn widespread condemnation from around the world. Israel's Foreign Minister, Gideon Saar, also expressed his sorrow, posting on X, "Deeply saddened by the heinous terror attack on tourists in #Pahalgam, Jammu & Kashmir. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families. Israel stands united with India in the fight against terror."
