Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z vs Dominar 400: Bajaj Auto has launched the new Pulsar NS400Z in the Indian market today. Bajaj has been calling this new model the ‘Biggest Pulsar Ever’. In Bajaj’s lineup, the Pulsar NS400Z will be positioned as its flagship offering. The newly launched Pulsar NS400Z will compete with rivals like the Hero Mavrick 440, KTM 250 Duke, Triumph Speed 400, TVS Apache RTR 310 and its sibling, the Bajaj Dominar 400. Let’s take a look at the comparison of the newly launched Pulsar NS400Z with its mechanical counterpart, the Dominar 400.
Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z
Price - Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z has been launched in the Indian market at an introductory price of Rs 1.85 lakh (ex-showroom).
Engine Specs - The Pulsar NS400Z is equipped with the same 373cc single-cylinder engine as the Dominar 400. This unit produces a power output of 40 bhp and 35 Nm of torque. It comes with a 6-speed gearbox featuring a slip-and-assist clutch. The bike has a 12-litre fuel tank and is claimed to reach a top speed of 154 km/h.
Features - Talking about the features on the Pulsar NS400Z, it gets a coloured digital display that features Bluetooth connectivity with call/SMS alerts and turn-by-turn navigation. It also boasts a USB charging port, switchable traction control, ride-by-wire throttle and four riding modes: Road, Sport, Rain, and Off-road.

Bajaj Dominar 400
Price - The Bajaj Dominar 400 is available in India with a price tag of Rs 2.31 lakh (ex-showroom).
Engine Specs - Talking about its engine specs, the Dominar 400 is equipped with the same 373cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine. This engine is capable of producing a power output of 40 bhp and 35 Nm of torque. It is mated to a 6-speed gearbox with an assist and slipper clutch.
Features - In terms of features, the Dominar 400 packs modern technology such as two digital screens: one displays standard information like speed, RPMs, fuel level, and indicators, while the other, on the fuel tank, shows details such as odometer readings, gear position, trip metres, and a clock. Additionally, it includes a USB charger near the handlebar and a phone mount above the instrument cluster.
In summary, the newly launched Pulsar NS400Z is essentially the same as the Dominar 400. It is equipped with the same engine and boasts similar features with an updated design. The new Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is the better pick amongst the two as it is priced reasonably than the Dominar 400.
