Force Gurkha 5-Door vs Maruti Suzuki Jimny: Force Motors has launched the 2024 Gurkha off-road SUV in the Indian market. The Force Gurkha is available in two variants - a 5-door variant and a 3-door variant. The Gurkha 5-door variant boasts a longer wheelbase than the 3-door variant. The Force Gurkha 5-door variant faces competition from only one model in its segment, which is the Maruti Suzuki Jimny. It will soon rival the Mahindra Thar 5-door SUV as well, which is slated to be launched soon in the country. Here’s a look at a comparison of the newly launched Gurkha 5-door with the Maruti Suzuki Jimny.

Force Gurkha 5-Door 

Price - The Force Gurkha 5-door has been launched in the Indian market at a price of Rs 18 lakh (ex-showroom). 

Engine Specs - Talking about its engine specs, the Gurkha 5-door is equipped with a 2.6-litre diesel engine that is capable of churning a power output of 140 bhp and 320 Nm of torque. It is mated to 5 speed manual gearbox for transmission duties along with the 4-wheel-drive (4WD) being offered as standard. 

Features - In terms of features, the Gurkha 5-door variant gets a new 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. It features a bench seat for the second row and captain seats for the third row. It also features all-four powered windows and manual AC.

Maruti Suzuki Jimny 

Price - Maruti Suzuki Jimny is available in India with its prices ranging between Rs 12.74 lakh and Rs 14.95 lakh (ex-showroom). 

Engine Specs - In terms of powertrain, the Jimny is powered by a 1.5-litre petrol engine that is capable of churning a power output of 105 bhp and 134 Nm of torque. It is paired to either a 5-speed manual or a 4-speed automatic gearbox for transmission duties. It gets a 4-wheel drivetrain (4WD) as standard. 

Features - Talking about the features onboard the Jimny, it gets a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system (from the Baleno and Brezza) with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, four speakers, cruise control and automatic climate control. 

In summary, the Maruti Suzuki Jimny is a more affordable option than the Force Gurkha 5-door. However, the Gurkha 5-door is a more powerful off-roader when compared to the Jimny.
