Formula E Calendar 2024: In a piece of good news for all motorsport lovers, Formula E is returning to India with the FIA retaining Hyderabad's Street Circuit track in its 2024 calendar. The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile on October 19 released its calendar for the 2024 season in which 16 Formula E races will be held from January 13 to July 21. The FIA is the governing body of all motorsport races in the world including Formula races.
The announcement came months after the first Formula E Indian GP took place at the Hyderabad Street Circuit in February this year, which recorded an attendance of 31,000 people for the first-ever Formula E race in India. As per the FIA's 2024 calendar, the Hyderabad E-Prix is scheduled to take place on February 10, 2024.

As per Formula E, the Hyderabad E-Prix contributed to an $84 million or Rs 698 crore rise in Hyderabad’s economy. "Without doubt our Season 10 calendar is the most compelling yet for drivers, teams, fans and viewers around the world. We are taking Formula E to Shanghai for the first time and are honoured to return to India thanks to the support of the Telangana Government and Minister K. T. Rama Rao," Alberto Longo, Co-Founder and Chief Championship Officer, Formula E, said in a statement.
Along with Hyderabad, Shanghai was also confirmed as a host city for the 10th season of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship making it the first time for a Formula E race to happen in Shanghai. However, Formula E debuted in China in Beijing in September 2014.
Tokyo has also been confirmed as a host city for the 2024 Formula E season. The Formula E race in Tokyo is slated to happen on March 30, 2024, and it will be the first time a motorsport world championship race will happen in the capital city of Japan.
