The Kia Sonet facelift was recently spotted on the streets of Hyderabad, India. Despite the test mule's extensive concealment, there are several recognizable modifications, including a fully new front profile with a reworked grille design, all-new headlights, and new LED DRL that extend towards the lower half of the modified bumper.

The Kia Sonet: Front Facelift

The leaked photos show that while the front end gets a makeover, the door paneling mostly stays the same. The current model retains the body-colored rear view mirrors, roof rails, and chrome window lining. The Sonet facelift has red brake calipers and 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, which are similar to those on the current GT models.

The Kia Sonet: Rear Elegance

The facelifted Sonet may have newly created tail lamps with LED units towards its rear end. The car will likely have a dual-tone treatment thanks to the redesign of the rear bumper as well. Possible additions to the update include new color schemes.

The Kia Sonet: Tech-Infused Cabin

The Sonet makeover could get a big overhaul within the cabin. According to rumors, the car will get a new dashboard and twin screens with two 10.25-inch displays equipped with the newest infotainment and digital display technology. Additionally, Kia might receive new upholstery and include features like a dashcam and a 360-degree surround-view camera.

The Sonet facelift is anticipated to keep its current powertrain options, which include a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, a 1.0-litre turbo petrol engine, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine.

The Kia Sonet’s Race To Revamp

It is not anticipated that the launch will occur this year. However, given that Tata and Mahindra are getting ready to release revised models of the Nexon and XUV300 with more features, respectively, Kia might prepone the release of the new Sonet. Improved competitiveness against rivals like the Maruti Brezza, Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, and Mahindra XUV300 may be made possible by new features.
