MG MOTORS, which has recently announced the Comet EV as the smart urban mobility vehicle, has already become the talk of the town with its compact two-door, sleek design, and a slew of features. However, the vehicle is getting mixed reviews in terms of driveability, design, and other aspects. Here are the 5 facts that you must know about the car

MG Comet EV Price

The company has announced the car at an introductory price of Rs 7.98 lakh (ex-showroom), which makes it the cheapest in the segment. The other variants are priced at Rs 9.28 lakh and Rs. 9.98 lakh (ex-showroom).

MG Comet EV Range, Running Cost

As per the official statement, the car can do 1,000 KM for as low as Rs 519. Additionally, the company claims that the Comet EV offers an ARAI-certified range of 230 KM on a single charge, so one can expect a range of 170 to 180 KMs in real life.

The car does look small but does have an ample amount of space as it follows a BICO concept -- Big Inside and Compact Outside. However, the rear side does feel congested.

The company made some cost-cutting and hence, not provided the fast charging option. It will take a good 7 to 8 hours of charging time to fully charge the EV.

The car has plenty of features that can appeal to young people. It includes front and rear LED lighting, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a two-spoke multi-function steering wheel, front power windows, keyless entry, and more than 55 i-Smart technology features.

Overall, the car appears to be a solid package, although it lacks some features such as longer-range rides, fast charging, boot space, and the presence of body roll. However, it is unquestionably a secondary vehicle.
