Mercedes-Benz has unveiled the new-generation GLC for the Indian market, completely reimagining the company's best-selling SUV from its predecessor. The new model comes with enhanced powertrain options and is larger and more luxurious .
Mercedes-Benz GLC: Performance
The 2.0-litre diesel and petrol engines will be paired up with a mild hybrid motor available for the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLC. The upgraded engines come standard with All-Wheel Drive (AWD) and a 9-speed automatic transmission. The diesel engine produces 19bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque, while the petrol engine produces 254 bhp and 400 Nm of peak torque. The mild-hybrid further gives a further boost of 200 Nm that helps improve low-end acceleration and overall fuel efficiency.

Mercedes-Benz GLC: Tech-Savvy Interior
The cabin has undergone significant changes and now resembles the new C-Class. This includes the larger, 11-inch touchscreen infotainment system that is stacked vertically and the new floating digital instrument console. The device uses the most recent MBUX UI and comes with a variety of capabilities, such as voice control, navigation, customization choices, telematics, and more. Premium leather upholstery, a panoramic sunroof, Burmester sound system, a three-spoke multi-function steering wheel, park assist, and other features are all standard on the SUV.
Mercedes-Benz GLC: Enhanced Exteriors
The second-generation Mercedes-Benz GLC features evolutionary styling in terms of appearance. It stays recognisable but appears bolder with sleeker lines all over. The SUV has more interior space overall, including more shoulder and legroom. In the brand's lineup, it sits above the GLB and continues to be a five-seater.

The new GLC will be available in five colour variants: Nautic Blue, Mojave Silver, Selenite Grey, Polar White, and Obsidian Black. Three interior design themes will be featured in the cabin: Black, Macchiato Beige, and the new Sienna Brown.
Bookings and Launch
For a token price of 71.5 lakh, nationwide bookings for the new GLC have already started, and deliveries will happen soon after the launch. On August 9, 2023, the new-generation automobile is set to be on sale and that is when we will get to know the prices of the new GLC. The 300 4MATIC and 220d 4MATIC are the two models of the new GLC that will be available at launch. The Range Rover Evoque, BMW X3, Audi Q5 and the Volvo XC60 will be its competitors.
