Japanese car manufacturer, Toyota, has unveiled the all-new Land Cruiser 2024 with significant upgrades from the previous version. The new Land Cruiser, which now features a modern retro look, has undergone the most significant revamp by Toyota. The Land Cruiser has returned to a more traditional and boxy exterior look, but modern touches like the LED headlamps and sculpted bodywork give it a highly modernised and cutting-edge appearance.

More significantly, compared to its predecessor, the Land Cruiser is now smaller and cheaper. The new model is believed to be a more capable off-roader because it is 4.4 inches slimmer and 1.2 inches shorter than the previous one.

Toyota Land Cruiser: What's Under The Hood

Toyota also revealed that the 2024 Land Cruiser would only be offered with a hybrid powertrain. It features a 1.87 kWh battery pack, an electric motor, and a 4-cylinder, 2.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine. An 8-speed automatic transmission is used to transfer power, and the engine's total output is 326 hp and 630 Nm of torque. Toyota's cutting-edge 4WD technology, which will be available as standard equipment, will complement its go-anywhere legacy.

Toyota Land Cruiser 2024: Interiors

The interior is yet again designed with a modern-retro flair and is loaded with all the newest features you would want in an SUV of this category. It features a 12.3-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, heated seats, a Heads Up Display, all-terrain AWD, wireless charging, and more. Based on Toyota's TNGA-F platform, the new Land Cruiser has a 221 mm ground clearance.

It is 2,139 mm in width and 4,920 mm long. The 2024 Land Cruiser's 2,850 mm wheelbase ensures plenty of space inside the cabin. The Land Cruiser has two different front designs and will also have the 'Prado' suffix in some overseas markets, such as the US. Prices are expected to start at about Rs 2.10 crores.
