In a major push to provide a safe and comfortable journey to women, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday flagged off 80 pink buses for women from 1, Aney Marg, in Patna.
Along with this, the CM also inaugurated the e-ticketing facility in around 1,065 buses, being run by the Bihar State Road Transport Corporation. He added that the pink buses aim to enhance safety for women, making travel more convenient and accessible.

The CM added that the initiative taken by the Bihar government is an important step towards women's empowerment. Before flagging off the pink buses, the Chief Minister inspected the vehicles and enquired about the facilities available.
The event was attended by the Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary, Vijay Kumar Sinha, Principal Secretary Deepak Kumar, Chief Secretary Pratyaya Amrit, Additional Chief Secretary of the Transport Department Mihir Kumar Singh, CM Secretaries Anupam Kumar and Kumar Ravi, and State Transport Commissioner Ashutosh Dwivedi.
