A delegation of Indian Foreign Service (IFS) officers visited the Bihar Labour Resources Department on Tuesday to gather information on the implementation of the skill development scheme for the youth. 

Department Secretary Deepak Anand and Special Secretary Alok Kumar welcomed the delegation. The Labour Resources Department briefed the delegation on 16 schemes being implemented by the Bihar Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.

These schemes cover various benefits for workers, including registration, medical assistance, housing, educational support, and accident insurance. The delegation was also informed about the Migrant Labour Accident Scheme, Centenary Scheme, and training programs running under the Bihar Skill Development Mission, such as the Kushal Yuva Karyakram, domain skilling, and financial accounting. 

They also received information on the Centers of Excellence set up in government Industrial Training Institutes with the collaboration of Tata Technologies. Present on the occasion were Director of Employment and Training Sunil Kumar Yadav, Mission Director of Bihar Skill Development Mission Suresh Kumar Singh, Assistant Director Amrita Kumari, and Assistant Labor Commissioner Ganesh Jha.
