Bihar Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Sunday stated that several districts of Bihar are likely to witness light to heavy rainfall for the next few days. The weather department stated that along with rainfall, at least 25 districts are expected to witness thunderstorms and gusty winds till October 2. It further stated that the continuous rainfall is likely to provide relief from the heat by reducing the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius. However, the excessive rainfall might also cause trouble for the residents during Navratri and Dussehra.

The IMD has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences. The Patna Meteorological Center issued a warning for light to moderate rainfall, along with thunderstorms and lightning in some districts, at least till October 3. It further stated that several districts, including Kishanganj, Araria, and Purnia, are likely to witness heavy rainfall on October 2.

The weather department also stated that the capital city, Patna, is also likely to witness light to moderate rainfall for the next few days. While the maximum temperature of Patna is likely to be recorded at 34 degrees Celsius, the minimum temperature is expected to remain around 26 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, several districts also witnessed rainfall in the late hours of Saturday, providing relief from the heat.

While providing details, the weather department stated that 32.8 mm of rain was recorded in Dobhi of Gayaji, 32.8 mm in Imamganj, 28.6 mm in Buxar, 26.8 mm in Sherghati, 24.8 mm in Mohaniya, and 22.2 mm in Dhanarua of Patna. Apart from this, 21.8 mm was recorded in Rohtas, 17.6 mm in Akbarpur of Nawada, 17.2 mm in Dinara of Rohtas, 16.2 mm in Piro of Bhojpur, and 16.0 mm in Chenari of Rohtas.
