PM Modi's Bihar Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Bihar’s Purnea district on Monday, September 15, as a part of his ongoing three-day visit to five states, including Assam, Manipur, Mizoram, Bihar and West Bengal. During his visit to Bihar, he will address a public rally and launch a key development project worth Rs 36,000 crore ahead of the upcoming Bihar Assembly Elections.

PM Modi last visited Bihar on August 22, where he launched several development projects worth Rs 13,000 crore, including the Aunta-Simaria Ganga Bridge and Amrit Bharat train. Earlier in July, he had visited Bihar’s Motihari district, where he inaugurated and laid down the foundation stone for various projects worth Rs 7,200 crore.

PM Modi To Inaugurate Purnea Airport And Other Projects: Check Details

- Addressing the long-standing demand for improved air connectivity, PM Modi will inaugurate the newly constructed airport terminal in the north Bihar district.

- Another highlight of PM Modi’s Bihar visit is the inauguration of the National Makhana Board.

- The National Makhana Board aims to boost makhana production through the adoption of new technologies, improve post-harvest management, promote value addition and processing, and facilitate market expansion, exports, and brand development, benefiting Makhana farmers in the poll-bound state and across the country.

- PM Modi is also expected to take part in Griha Pravesh ceremonies for over 40,000 beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).

- Additionally, he will disburse Rs 500 crore to women's self-help groups under the Deendayal Antyodaya Yojana-National Rural Livelihoods Mission (DAY-NRLM).

Security Arrangements In Bihar Ahead Of PM Modi’s Visit

Tight security arrangements have been put in place in Bihar’s Purnea district ahead of the Prime Minister’s visit. Starting from midnight on Sunday, all vehicle movement on national and state highways in the area will remain suspended for 24 hours.

Senior BJP leader and Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister, Samrat Choudhary, who recently visited Purnea to investigate the preparations for PM Modi’s scheduled visit, said that the state is enjoying the benefits of having a “double-engine” government. He highlighted the collaborative efforts between the central and state governments to accelerate development in the poll-bound state.

“In his 11 years of tenure, Modi has gifted Bihar development projects worth about ₹1.50 lakh-crore. Tomorrow, there will be another bonanza. The state is enjoying the fruits of having a double-engine government,” news agency PTI quoted Samrat as saying.
