Ayushman Bharat: Under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, the insurance coverage may be increased and there is a plan to offer insurance coverage of up to Rs 10 lakh. The goverment is also extending the target to expand the number of beneficiaries from 55 crores to 100 crores within the subsequent 5 years. 

A group of secrataries submitted recommendations

According to media reports, a Group of Secretaries (GoS) has submitted its recommendation to extend the limit and number of benefeciaries within 5 years. The Group of Secretaries, comprising 9 ministries together, is predicted to make a presentation to the Cupboard Secretary quickly.

At current, there are about 7.22 lakh personal hospital beds underneath the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, which the ministry hopes to extend to 9.32 lakh by 2026-27 and 11.12 lakh by 2028-29. As of June 30, 7.37 crore other folks were hospitalised underneath the scheme.
