Forbes World Billionaire List 2024: Mukesh Ambani, Reliance Industries Limited chairman, tops the list of richest people in Asia and India as well. According to Forbes's latest '2024 list of Billionaires' Ambani's wealth surged to $116 billion from $83 billion. He is the only Asian in the $100 billion club. In the latest report of Forbes, a total of 200 Indians were featured up from 169 the previous year. The combined wealth of these Indians was recorded at $954 billion, last year it was $675 billion, which means Indian billionaire's wealth jumped up 41 percent this year.

According to the list, Gautam Adani is the second wealthiest Indian. He added $36.8 billion to his net worth and with a net worth of $84 billion, he is 17th on the world billionaire list. Savitri Jindal, India's wealthiest woman, continues to hold that title. She is now India's fourth-wealthiest woman, up from sixth place. Her net worth is $33.5 billion.

Twenty-five new Indian billionaires made their debuts on the list. Naresh Trihan, Ramesh Kanhikanan, and Renuka Jagtiani are among them. This time, Biju Ravindran and Rohika Mistry were left off.
