MCX Gold, Silver Rate Today: The gold Silver rate remained relatively stable in the early trade on March 5 after having a volatile trade in the previous session. In eary session, Gold futures (April expiry) jumped Rs 1,600 to a high of Rs 1,63,142 per 10 grams against last day's closing of Rs 1,61,525 on Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). Silver futures (May expiry) escalated Rs 8,600 to a high of Rs 2,74,251 per kilogram as compared to last session's closing of Rs 2,65,560.
However, the precious metals have erased some of their early gains going forward. At the time of writing, MCX Silver was trading at Rs 2,69,283 per kg, up Rs 3,723 or 1.4 per cent. Whereas, MCX Gold was at Rs 1,62,000 per 10 grams, up Rs 475 or 0.29 per cent.
"MCX Gold futures are currently trading within the Rs 1,60,000–Rs 1,70,000 range. Prices are witnessing short-term consolidation with a mildly positive bias, supported by persistent risk-off flows in global markets. Strong buying interest continues to emerge within the Rs 1,58,000–Rs 1,62,000 demand zone following the recent surge driven by geopolitical tensions in the Middle East," said Ponmudi R, CEO of Enrich Money.
Gold and Silver Rates in the International Market
In the international market, the precious metals prices surged in early trade. Last seen, COMEX Silver was trading at $84.70, up $1.51 or 1.82 per cent, while COMEX Gold was at $5,177.30, up $42.60 or 0.83 per cent.
At the same time, COMEX Crude Oil was up 3.46 per cent or $2.5 to $77.24 per barrel.

24k, 22k Gold Rate In India
The gold rates for different purity levels were slightly higher in the domestic retail market as well. The 24 karat gold rate today in India is Rs 1,62,510 per 10 grams, while the 22 karat gold rate is Rs 1,48,968 per 10 grams.
At the same time 20 karat gold rate today is Rs 1,35,425, and the 18 karat gold rate is Rs 1,21,883 per 10 grams.
