Gold Rate Today On MCX: Gold Slips Over Rs 1,300, Silver Down Rs 1,700; Check 24k, 22k Prices

Gold and silver prices declined in the domestic futures market amid heightening geopolitical concerns and higher bond yields. Gold futures contract, October 5 delivery, fell Rs 1,331 to Rs 1,53,050 per 10 grams, down from the last close of Rs 1,54,381 on the Multi Commodity Exchange (MCX). 

Similarly, MCX Silver, December 4 expiry, declined Rs 1,731 to Rs 2,39,867 per kilogram, down from the last close of Rs 2,41,603. 

Last seen, MCX Gold was quoted at Rs 1,53,642, down Rs 739 or 0.48 per cent. MCX Silver was trading at Rs 2,40.359, down Rs 1,244 or 0.51 per cent. 

"Gold price has resumed gapping down at 153,600 on Monday, likely to continue its moderately bearish momentum as traders’ focus remains on geopolitics, Crude oil price momentum and Bond yields. Price has made dips around 153,000 in initial trading; however, it remain over 50 and 200-EMAs on hourly charts, placed at 152,914 and 153,20,7 respectively, which will be crucial support levels to look for," said Aamir Makda, Commodity & Currency Analyst, Technical Research, Choice Broking.

24k, 22k Gold Rate Today 

The gold rates for all purity levels declined, and the domestic retail market did as well. According to bullion.co.in, the 24 karat gold rate today is Rs 1,54,150 per 10 grams, while the 22 karat gold rate today is Rs 1,41,304 per 10 grams. 

At the same time, the 20-karat gold rate today in India is Rs 1,28,458 per 10 grams, and the 18-karat gold rate today is Rs 1,15613 per 10 grams.
