Stock Market: Sensex Jumps 762 Points, Nifty 50 Up 238 Points In Early Trade

Stock Market: After being closed with a decent gain on the previous session, the stock market opened with a bang on Thursday i.e. march 28. BSE Sensex opened at 73149 with a gain of 153 points, while NSE's 50-stock index Nifty 50 started trading at the level of 22163 with a gain of 39 points. At around 10:48 AM, the Sensex was trading at 73768.85 up by over 1% or 762 points, while the Nifty 50 was at around 22361 up by 1.07% or 238 points.

There was a rise in shares of big companies like Wipro, Bajaj Finserv, Power Grid, State Bank, Infosys, Bajaj Finance, and Tata Steel in early trading.

Share Market around 9:50 Am

As the buying continued, Sensex was at the level of 73625 with a jump of 629 points within the first hour of trading. Whereas, Nifty 50 was at the level of 22315 with a jump of 191 points. Nifty top gainers have been Bajaj Finserv, Bajaj Finance, Dr Reddy, Power Grid, and Hero MotoCorp.

Global Market

Asian markets fell on Thursday, while Australian shares reached record highs. Japan's Nikkei 225 fell 0.98 percent, while Topix fell 1.08 percent. South Korea's Kospi fell 0.19%, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng index futures indicated a weak start.

Wall Street condition

The Dow Jones Industrial Average, the main sensitive index of the US stock market, jumped 477.75 points or 1.22 percent to reach 39,760.08, while the S&P 500 closed at 5,248.49 with a jump of 44.91 points or 0.86 percent. The Nasdaq Composite added 83.82 points, or 0.51%, to 16,399.52. shares of Merck & Company surged by 4.96%, while shares of Trump Media & Technology Group registered a bumper jump of 14.19%. Nvidia shares fell 2.5% and GameStop shares fell 15.03%.
