ICC Men's Player Of The Month: India's T20 opener Abhishek Sharma is continuing to earn accolades as his recent performance in the Asia Cup 2025 has earned him the ICC Men's Player of the Month for September 2025. Notably, Abhishek also became the 'Player of the Tournament' for his contribution in India's title-winning campaign recently.
Abhishek went past teammate Kuldeep Yadav and Zimbabwe's Brian Bennett to claim this marquee award. Interestingly, Abhishek smashed 314 runs in six innings with a staggering rate of 200, which included three fifties with a best score of 75 against Pakistan amidst a politically-charged environment between the two countries.
"It feels great to win this ICC award, and I am happy that it has come for some important matches that I could help win," he said as quoted by ICC.
"I am proud to be part of a team that can pull off victories from the most difficult of situations. Our recent track record in T20Is reflects our outstanding team culture and positive mindset."
