Ashes 2025-26: The ongoing Ashes series down under has been a one-sided affair so far, with the hosts Australia retaining the urn on Sunday. The Pat Cummins-led side registered an 82-run win against England at the Adelaide Oval, solidifying their dominance over the visitors. Notably, Australia lost their last home test series in 2020-21 against India. Former India captain Rohit Sharma, who was part of that series-winning squad, admitted that playing in Australia is the toughest place for a visiting side, while addressing an audience during an event.

While giving the statement, Rohit also took a swipe at England as he said, “Australia mein khelna sabse difficult hai, aap England ko puch he sakte ho (playing in Australia is the most difficult, you can ask England about it)."

England, who lost their first two tests at Perth and Brisbane under three days each, put up a fight in Adelaide, but it didn't prove enough. Alex Carey was adjudged 'Player Of The Match' for his stellar century during the first innings.

It is worth noting that Rohit's final Test series of his career was against Australia, where he managed to score 31 runs in his five innings.

Hard To Look At: Ben Stokes on losing the chance to retain the urn

Captain Ben Stokes believes England can build on the positives from their loss in the third Ashes test to Australia in Adelaide as they look to claim the country's first win Down Under in almost 15 years in the series' two remaining tests.

"I think some individuals have probably actually learned a lot more about themselves throughout this week than they did maybe a week or two ago," he said.

"But there were a lot of positives to be able to take out of this game, and for us to be able to build on and take forward, not only into the two games left in the series, but also how cricket looks in the future. "We had guys going out there and in some pretty high-pressure moments, and I thought they stood up very, very well. I think some individuals have learned a bit more about themselves this week.

"It's obviously hard to look at it with too much positivity at the moment, because there's a lot of emotion to attach with what's going on and where we are."

England will play the 4th Test of the series at the iconic MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground), starting on 26th December.
