GG Players List, WPL 2026 Auction: Gujarat Giants will be looking for a change of fortunes when they step up to bolster their squad in the WPL 2026 auction, taking place in New Delhi on Thursday. They decided to retain just two players, Ashleigh Gardner and Beth Mooney, from their 2025 squad ahead of the mega auction.

Mooney, on the other hand, is a top-order batter for Australia in T20Is. In the WPL, she has scored 522 runs in 18 matches for the Ahmedabad-based franchise. In an interesting turn of events, GG-W let go of star batter Laura Wolvaardt, who is the world no.1 ODI batter and also finished as the highest run getter in the Women’s World Cup 2025.

Ashleigh Gardner, who is GG’s highest run getter in WPL history, was retained for Rs 3.50 crore by the Ahmedabad-based franchise. She remains their costliest player in the retention list.
