LSG vs GT IPL 2025: Lucknow Super Giants' star all-rounder Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out from the IPL 2025 match against Gujarat Titans on Saturday since his daughter is unwell, LSG captain Rishabh Pant told broadcasters at the time of the toss. Marsh, who has played a huge role in Lucnow's campaign is the third-highest run-getter in IPL 202, as he has scored 265 runs after playing in five matches at a staggering average of 53.
Himmat Singh will be replacing Marsh in LSG's playing XI as per Pant and it remains to be seen if the Delhi batter can fill the void left by Marsh, who has been smashing big shots throughout this season.
At the same time, Pant won the toss and chose to bowl first. “Happy to win the last two matches. As a team, we talk about the process, and the team is responding well now. Bowlers have done a really good job, we have to give credit to them," Pant was heard saying at the time of the toss.
Gujarat Titans skipper Shubman Gill too revealed that he would have chosen to bowl first. As far as GT's playing XI is concerned, Washington Sundar would come in place of Kulwant Khejroliya in their playing XI.
Both teams are entering this match after winning their previous matches and will aim to continue their winning streak.
LSG defeated the reigning champions KKR by just four runs in Kolkata earlier this week and their bowlers will aim to restrict the Gujarat-based franchise, which does have the ability to post a mammoth target if they have a flying start.
At the same time, GT defeated RR by 58 runs in their backyard in their previous match and is riding high on confidence.
