Matthew Perry, who starred as sarcastic-but-sweet Chandler Bing in the hit sitcom “Friends,” died of an apparent drowning on Saturday.

The 54-year-old Emmy-nominated actor was found dead in his bathtub as per reports. He played one of the central characters of 'Chandler Bing', where he played the quick-witted, insecure and neurotic roommate of Matt LeBlanc's Joey and a close friend of David Schwimmer's Ross.

His portrayal of the character was so iconic that it garnered applause from fans around the world. As soon as the news of his demise dropped, cricketer Dinesh Karthik paid tributes through a heartfelt post on X (formerly Twitter). Check out the post here:

The iconic television series "Friends," which aired from 1994 to 2004, has continued to captivate audiences and has experienced a resurgence in popularity, particularly among younger viewers, through streaming services in recent years.
