RCB-W vs DC-W, WPL 2025: Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to field against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in their Women's Premier League (WPL) 2025 match here at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru on Saturday.

RCB started the third season of the WPL on a high note, securing two victories in Vadodara. However, their fortunes took a drastic turn once the tournament shifted to their home ground, M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Capitals pulled off a feisty victory against the Royal Challengers Bangalore in a top-of-the-table battle hosted at the M Channaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. Captain Meg Lanning scored an astounding smash hit and made up most of the influence by batting impressively, hitting an unbeaten 60 out of 49 deliveries.

Together with Shafali Verma, who contributed 43 runs off 28 balls, the two formed an 85-run partnership. This laid the foundation for Delhi Capitals and their phenomenal success with a nine-wicket victory showcase.

Speaking at the time of toss, Delhi Capitals captain Meg Lanning said, "We are bowling first. That seems to have worked pretty well for us throughout the tournament. But it's a new day today and facing RCB is a big challenge. We try and switch off throughout the day and come back and be switched on during this time. We don't rely on one or two players. We have got good depth and we have got to look to them tonight."

RCB captain Smriti Mandhana said, "Would have bowled first today. With my tosses having lost four in a row, have to be ready for batting (smiles ruefully). (on the crowd) They have come out in huge numbers in the last three games, but could not do much, last home game for us, hopefully, we will do them proud today. Having a fresh mindset every match is what is spoken about, In franchise cricket you can't predict much, you will do right and do right wrong. We had a good discussion and the girls seemed very positive. (against Delhi) Last two matches we played against them, we played positive cricket, and our bowlers dominated them but 'we have to come out and do well, hopefully a first home win for us tonight."
