WTC Points Table 2025-27: New Zealand came up with a dominating performance to beat the West Indies by 323 runs in the third and final Test match at Bay Oval. They bowled the visitors out for 138 runs in their second innings to complete a 2-0 series win.
Fast bowler Jacob Duffy, who was signed by Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL 2026 auction on December 16, produced a memorable effort as he picked up 5 wickets for the Black Caps, and three Windies batters were sent back to the pavilion by spinner Ajaz Patel. Duffy also took four wickets in the first innings, and the star pacer was adjudged as the Player of the Series.

The win also helped New Zealand get a major boost in the WTC 2025-27 points table as per the latest updates, as they jumped from third to second position in the standings. The 2021 WTC winners now have 28 points and 77.77 PCT%. They leapfrogged South Africa, who have 75 PCT% to their credit.

The West Indies, on the other hand, remain at the bottom of the points table with 4.16 PCT% (from 4.76 PCT%). Having already produced a disappointing performance in the first three editions of the WTC, the West Indies will surely not be making to the finals in the 2025-27 as well. The Caribbeans have lost seven out of eight Tests played so far in the ongoing WTC cycle.

Australia continue to stay at the top of the WTC standings as they strengthened their grip after their dominating win over England in the third Test of the ongoing Ashes. They have retained the Ashes and are 3-0 up in the five-match Test series. The 2023 champions have won all six matches played so far in the ongoing WTC 2025-27 cycle. They have 72 points and 100% PCT to their credit.
On the other hand, England remain at the 7th position. The Ben Stokes-led side has only managed to win two out of eight matches in WTC 2025-27. India are in sixth place with 48.15 PCT%. The two-time WTC losing finalists have won four out of nine matches played so far in the ongoing WTC cycle.
