Assam Extends Pre, Post-Matric Scholarship Application Last Date For ST Students; Details Here

Assam ST scholarship: Assam Ministry of Tribal Affairs extended the application deadline for the pre-matric scholarship for Class 9 and 10 students from scheduled tribes (ST) for the academic year 2024-25 to September 30. According to the most recent notice, the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) official website, scholarships.gov.in, is now accepting online applications for pre- and post-matric scholarships for ST students.

Students in Classes 9 and 10 in government, government-aided, government-recognized institutions, upper secondary schools, universities, and institutes would be eligible to apply for pre and post-matric scholarships.

The goal of the pre-and post-matric scholarships is to help ST students reduce dropout rates, particularly during the transition from elementary to secondary education. According to the report, students will have a better probability of continuing to the next level of study.

Here is a list of documents that must be uploaded when submitting a pre- and post-matric scholarship application through the NSP site.

* Aadhaar number

* Domicile certificate

* ST certificate issued by the competent authority of the state

* Family income certificate

* Disability certificate

* Scanned copy of the passport-size photograph
