CBSE Board Exam 2025: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has denied claims of a 15 per cent syllabus reduction for Class 10 and 12 Board Exams 2025 or the introduction of open book examinations in selected subjects.

“With reference to the news regarding a 15% syllabus reduction for Class 10 and 12 under the 2025 board examinations by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and the conduct of open-book exams in select subjects, which has been published on various online news portals and newspapers, please note that CBSE has not made any changes to its examination system or internal assessment system, nor has any official notification been issued in this regard. Therefore, CBSE refutes the aforementioned news,” reads the notification.

CBSE also said that any updates regarding policy changes are communicated through the Board's official website and circulars. The public is therefore urged to avoid misleading information.

The CBSE Class 10 and 12 Board Exams are scheduled to begin on February 15, 2025. The board will announce the CBSE Datesheet 2025 for Classes 10 and 12 soon. Once released, candidates can access the datesheets on the official websites, cbse.gov.in, and cbse.nic.in.

The CBSE Board Practical examinations and Internal Assessment (IA) for Class 10 and 12 board exam candidates will begin on January 1. The CBSE practical exams for winter-bound schools are underway and will conclude on December 5, 2024.
