IGNOU Admission 2025: Good news for students who were denied admission to Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU). The deadline for admission into the July 2025 session has been extended till October 15, giving candidates additional time to apply. IGNOU is a helpful resource for those seeking individualised education. Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students will receive a 50% fee discount.
Admissions are open for the July 2025 session. According to the UGC, private courses can be pursued alongside regular courses.
IGNOU still to be a valuable choice for students who missed tradtional institutioal admissions or are working during studying.
Admission Deadline Extended:
The deadline for online admission has been extended from September 30 to October 15, 2025. Students can apply for undergraduate, postgraduate, and diploma programs. For more information, contact the study center, Government Raja Postgraduate College, Rampur.
Fee Waiver for SC/ST Students:
Candidates from the Scheduled Caste and the Scheduled Tribe categories with an annual family income below Rs 2.5 lakh will get a 50% discount on course fees. This initiative aims to make higher education more accessible.
IGNOU provides distance learning with UGC-recognised courses. Under UGC Ordinance 2022, students can pursue private courses alongside regular courses. Study materials are mailed to students through IGNOU’s study centres.
