India Post GDS Result 2026: Candidates who have applied for the Gramin Dak Sevaks post are eagerly waiting for the results. The India Post GDS result, along with the merit list, will be released soon on the official GDS portal indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. 

The applicants will be shortlisted for engagement on the basis of a system-generated merit list. India Post GDS 2026 aims to fill over 28,636 vacancies across various postal circles in India.

India Post GDS Result 2026: Steps To Download Result PDF

Once the results are announced, candidates can follow the given steps to download them.

Step 1: Go to the official website at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

Step 2: Search for the “Shortlisted Candidates / Merit List” section on the homepage. 

Step 3: Select the relevant postal circle or state PDF link.

Step 4: Download the PDF and search for your registration number.

India Post GDS Merit List 2026: How Is It Prepared?

The circle and state-wise merit list is prepared based on the marks obtained/ conversion of Grades/Points to marks in the Secondary School Examination of the 10th standard of recognised Boards. The list will be available in PDF format.

After the merit list is released, shortlisted candidates will be called for the document verification process at the designated head offices. Additional merit lists may be released if vacancies remain unfilled after the first list, based on the same eligibility criteria.
