India Post GDS Result 2026 Out: India Post has released the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS) result 2026 on March 6, 2026, at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in. Candidates can log in to the official portal with their credentials and select their state and zone for which they have applied. The circle-wise merit list PDF will be available for download. The recruitment aims to fill 28,636 vacancies across various divisions.
India Post GDS Result 2026: How To Download Result PDF?
Candidates can follow the given steps to download the India Post GDS result PDF from the official portal.
Step 1: Go to the official website at indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
Step 2: The homepage displays a list of all participating circles (e.g., Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, Kerala).
Step 3: Select the circle for which you have applied.
Step 4: Click on the “India Post GDS Result 2026 PDF” link.
Step 5: The PDF will open on the screen. Download it and search for your names.

India Post GDS 2026: Selection Process
Unlike other government posts, the merit list for GDS is prepared based on candidates’ class 10 marks with no written exams. The result is prepared on the merits, prioritising applicants with the highest percentage of marks in their matriculation at the top of the selection list.
India Post GDS 2026: Documents Required
Shortlisted candidates will then have to complete their document verification process. Within 15 days from the date of shortlisting, candidates have to complete their further formalities in the selection process.
Candidates will be required to carry the following documents in original (as applicable) and two sets of self-attested photocopies for submission-
Marks sheet
Identity proof
Caste certificate
PwBD certificate
EWS Certificate
Transgender certificate
