UGC NET Exam: In Punjab, three girls from the same family have cleared the UGC NET Examination in their 1st attempt. These three sisters have cleared the UGC NET Exam in different subjects. The elder one is Rimpi Kaur who has cleared the exam in Computer Science whereas her sister Beant Kaur has passed the UGC NET test in History subject and their sister Hardeep Kaur cleared the UGC NET examination in Punjabi language.
Inspiration To Millions of People:
These three sisters from Punjab, Rimpi, Beant, and Hardeep took the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) for the first time but as per the official data, Rimpi Kaur appeared for the UGC NET exam in June 2024 also but that examinations were cancelled over some complaints. They have set an example for all those students and individuals who question their capabilities and think they can not achieve something bigger in life.
After clearing the UGC NET Examination, these sisters have become eligible to apply for the posts of the Assistant Professors and also those who have qualified for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) will get a stipend on monthly basis to pursue their PHD and Research. Rimpi, Beant and Hardeep have completed their higher education and are alumni of the Guru Nanak College, Budhlada.
The 28 year old Rimpi Kaur earned a degree in Masters of Computer Application whereas Beant Kaur who is 26 years old completed her degree in Masters of Arts in History and their sister Hardeep Kaur, who is 23 years old did MA in Punjabi language. These three sisters have a younger brother as well.
Family Background:
Rimpi, Beant and Hardeep’s father works as a granthi whereas their mother initially associated with gurudwara and works there but now she is working independently. Their mother Manjit Kaur is a daily wager. It wasn’t easy for their parents and family to support their studies but somehow they managed and now their daughters have cracked UGC NET in just 1st attempt. A proud moment for Rimpi, Beant and Hardeep’s parents.
To Dream Big:
These three girls have mentioned that seeing our parents working extremely hard to educate us, they have tried their best in providing us the education, we studied very hard to crack UGC NET and now we want to become independent and support our parents. The Elder sister, Rimpi Kaur said that we have cleared the UGC NET together so now we are looking for jobs, maybe in private colleges. Rimpi has previously worked as a teacher for around 2 years but then she left the job to concentrate on her studies.
