UGC NET December 2024: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to extend the deadline to sign up for the University Grants Commission - National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) December session 2024 to today, December 11. Applicants who have not yet registered can fill out the UGC NET application form 2024 for the December session on the official website of UGC at ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

The NTA has also extended the deadline for submitting the examination fee by one day. Applicants can submit the UGC NET December 2024 application fee by December 12. Previously, the deadline to complete the application form was December 10, and the fee payment deadline was December 11.

“The National Testing Agency (NTA) is in receipt of various representations from the candidates to extend the last date for submission of online application form for UGC– NET December 2024, the official notice read.

With the application deadline extended, the NTA has revised the application correction timetable for the UGC NET December 2024 exam. According to the official notice, applicants will now be able to make corrections to their UGC NET December 2024 application form on December 13 and 14.

“Candidates can make Corrections in the details submitted by them in their Forms Online through the Correction window at https:// ugcnet.nta.ac.in during the period when the correction/editing window is made live,” the official notice read.

UGC NET December 2024: Exam details

The UGC NET December 2024 test is scheduled to take place from January 1 to 19, 2025. The UGC NET 2024 exam for the December session will be administered in 85 disciplines to assess students' eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), employment as assistant professor, and PhD admission.

To apply for the UGC NET 2024 December season exam, aspirants in the general or unreserved category must pay a Rs 1,150 registration fee. Applicants from the scheduled caste (SC), scheduled tribe (ST), and person with a disability (PwD) categories must pay Rs 325, while those from the general EWS and OBC-NCL categories pay Rs 600.
