UPSC ESE 2025: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) released the Engineering Services Examination (ESE) 2025 notification and registration for the exam begins today, September 18. Eligible candidates may register for UPSC ESE 2025 by going to the official website of UPSC at upsconline.nic.in. The deadline to submit the UPSC ESE application form 2025 is October 8.

UPSC ESE notice 2025 includes application procedures, reservation policy, test centres, eligibility criteria, exam pattern, and syllabus.

UPSC ESE Prelims 2025 will be conducted on February 9 to fill 232 positions in civil, mechanical, electrical, electronics, and communication engineering.

UPSC ESE 2025: Read instructions for registration

The commission provided the following directions for submitting the photograph while filling out the application form:

  • The photograph supplied by the applicant should not be older than 10 days from the start of the online application process.
  • Verify that the applicant's name and the date the photograph was taken are visible.
  • The applicant's face should take up three-quarters of the space in the shot.
  • Candidates must ensure that their appearance matches their photograph at all stages of the examination procedure, including the preliminary (stage I), main (stage II), and interview or personality test. For example, if an applicant uploads a photo of himself with a beard, he must maintain that appearance throughout the process. The same rule applies to spectacles, moustaches, and so on.
