Adah Sharma Expresses Excitement Over Kofuku Selected For JioCinema Film Festival
‘The Kerala Story’ actor Adah Sharma said, “It's nice to get a good wide reach and a lot of people will watch it. As actors when you make stuff, whether it's a theatrical film or an OTT release or a short film, or even a music video, your main aim is to have the majority of the audience watching your art, you want to put it out there for people to watch and give you validation on it. So it's nice to make sure that everybody watches it. And if people like it, then they'll tell other people to watch it and then more people will watch it.”
Jatin Sarna On Working With Adah Sharma In Kofuku
On collaborating with Khakee actor Jatin Sarna, Adah said, “This film was shot in 2020 during the COVID pandemic. When we were considering collaboration for the project, Pradeep, the film's producer, and I had a specific vision. We were looking for someone with an urban, promising, and uniquely interesting appearance. During our discussions, a particular name came up, and I immediately thought of her because I had seen her work and was confident in her abilities. She's a talented actor, and that's when we both agreed and approached her for the role. Fortunately, everything fell into place as we had hoped.”

He further added, “She did an excellent job with the character and truly brought it to life. It was like breathing life into that particular character, and she was perfectly suited for the role. I thoroughly enjoyed working with her, even though it was a very different experience. We had just two days to shoot, and we had to cover a lot of ground, shooting in various locations. Despite the challenges, it was a lot of fun, and it turned out to be a great experience.”
Adah Sharma Calls Co-star Jatin Sharma ‘Brilliant’
Praising Jatin Sarna for the work he has done in Kofuku, Adah said, “Firstly, I must say, and I think he's done a brilliant job with it. He had the responsibility of convincing the audience about where to find happiness, and I believe he succeeded. This conviction extends not only to my character in the film but also to me as a viewer. Once you watch the film and reach its final scene, you'll realize that the answer is quite simple. It's always a pleasure to work with an actor who strives to elevate their performance, to make it as authentic as possible, and to make it feel like we're not acting but living those moments. It's a joy to work with someone who approaches their craft this way, and I had a great time.”

Kofuku Is My Story: Jatin Sarna
Jatin told that he wrote Kofuku back in 2010, but was struggling to find the makers for the film. He told us, “This was actually my story. My story was quite different from this, but the characters bore a striking resemblance – a blind boy and a girl from college. Now, in this film, the setup is different, the boy remains the same, but the girl has changed. I originally wrote this story in 2010.”
