अपने सभी भाइयों-बहनों, बड़ों, पूज्य साधु-संतों और श्री राम के भक्तों से, मैं हाथ जोड़ कर, बिना शर्त क्षमा माँगता हूँ.

Om Raut's 'Adipurush', an adaptation of the epic Ramayana, has faced significant backlash following its release. The film features Prabhas in the role of Lord Ram, Kriti as Goddess Sita, Sunny Singh as Laxman, and Saif Ali Khan as Ravana.
The film has faced criticism and reviewers for certain dialogues that have been deemed controversial. Some of the dialogues that have garnered negative attention include 'Marega Bete' (Your son will die), 'Bua Ka Bagicha Hain Kya' (Is your aunt's house a garden?), and 'Jalegi Tere Baap Ki' (Your father's (effigy) will burn).
In the wake of such flak, the makers of 'Adipurush' revamped the dialogues. Amid the row, Manoj had requested protection, citing a threat to his life. Mumbai Police provided him security and said that they are investigating the matter.
The All India Cine Workers Association also sent a letter to Union Home Minister Amit Shah and the Mumbai Police, urging them to file a case against the producer, director, and writer of the film.
The criticism and controversy surrounding ‘Adipurush’ resulted in a resurgence of interest in the 1987 ‘Ramayan’ television series, as disappointed audiences drew comparisons between the film and the popular show.
