Anupama Parameswaran made her debut in the film industry with the Malayalam movie 'Premam,' alongside Nivin Pauly, which turned out to be a commercial success. Following this, she ventured into Telugu cinema with notable projects such as 'A Aa,' where she played a lead role alongside Nithiin and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. In 2022, she was paired with debutant Ashish in the Telugu film 'Rowdy Boys.' Additionally, she appeared in 'Karthikeya 2.' Now, Anupama is set to headline 'Tillu Square,' the eagerly awaited sequel to the 2022 blockbuster 'DJ Tillu.' Joining her is Siddhu Jonnalagadda, taking on the lead role, under the direction of Mallik Ram. The film is scheduled for an impressive premiere on March 29, 2024.
The initial glimpses and teasers showcasing Anupama Parameswaran in 'Tillu Square' received varied responses, with certain sections of the audience and media expressing astonishment at her depiction of a daring character. This portrayal included multiple lip locks and some revealing scenes, marking a departure from her previous on-screen persona. In the sequel, she portrays the character Lily, and during the launch of the song 'Oh My Lily,' she was asked about her daring character choices and the rationale behind embracing such an image. To which she responded, "At the age of 19, I acted in films like A Aa and Premam. Now I am 29, so I have to explore different characters," she said.
Adding, "Even when I play similar roles, both journalists and the public ask me whether I should stick to the same kind of roles. When I take roles like Lily, you again ask why I decided to do them. What should I do? Just stay at home?" Furthermore, the actress expressed her perpetual enthusiasm for experimenting and embracing diverse roles.

Tillu Square is a romantic crime comedy film directed by Mallik Ram and produced by Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under the banner of Sithara Entertainments and Fortune Four Cinemas. It serves as the sequel to the 2022 film DJ Tillu, with Siddhu Jonnalagadda reprising his role from the previous installment. Ram Miriyala and Sricharan Pakala are the music directors, while Sai Prakash Ummadisingu handles cinematography and Naveen Nooli oversees editing.
Despite initial plans for a release on 9th February 2024, Tillu Square has faced multiple delays due to post-production challenges. Its release was rescheduled to 29th March 2024 to avoid a five-way Sankranti clash.
