Musician and producer Zico has set the realm of BLINKs abuzz with his latest announcement of a collaboration with BLACKPINK's Jennie for his upcoming digital single, SPOT. The news, which confirms earlier rumours, was shared by Zico on his Instagram on April 18, 2024, along with a recording studio preview featuring Jennie's vocals.

In the preview, Zico and Jennie can be seen vibing to the completed recording, showcasing their enthusiasm for the upcoming release. Zico also hinted at the title of the new song by including the hashtag #SPOT. The collaboration marks the first time the two artists are working together, adding to the anticipation among fans.

KOZ Entertainment, Zico's music label, further confirmed the collaboration by releasing a promotional scheduler for the single's release. The schedule includes dates for concept photos, music video teasers, and the song's premiere, set for April 26, 2024, at 6 PM KST.

Zico, who will be celebrating his 10th debut anniversary in 2024, is returning to the music scene after 21 months, with his last release being the EP Grown Ass Kid in July 2022. Known for his work with the Kpop group Block B, Zico established KOZ Entertainment in 2019 and will also be hosting the new season of The Seasons, a late-night South Korean show.

Meanwhile, Jennie has been making waves in her solo career and recently established her agency, Odd Atelier. She has confirmed that she is working on a new album set to be released in 2024, adding to the excitement surrounding her collaboration with Zico. BLINKs, in particular, appreciate her vocals as observed in the song snippet.  Fans of both artists are eagerly awaiting the release of SPOT, which promises to be a unique blend of Zico's production prowess and Jennie's captivating vocals.
