Written and produced by Teddy Park and 24, 'SOLO' captivated audiences worldwide with its groovy track and empowering lyrics about independence after a breakup. The song's success adds another milestone to Jennie's already illustrious career as a member of BLACKPINK.

BLACKPINK, as a group, also boasts five music videos with over 1 billion views, with 'DDU-DU DDU-DU' even surpassing 2 billion views. Jennie's achievement further cements BLACKPINK's status as one of the most influential and popular Kpop groups globally.

Aside from her music career, Jennie has been making headlines for her entrepreneurial endeavours. In December 2023, she announced the establishment of her own agency, OA (ODD ATELIER), signalling her plans for a more independent path in the industry. Jennie also revealed her intention to release her first full-length solo album by the end of 2024, adding anticipation among fans for her upcoming music projects.

In addition to her music endeavours, Jennie made a highly-anticipated return to variety shows with 'Apartment 404' in February 2024. Sharing her excitement about the show, Jennie expressed her interest in investigative stories and her delight in working with cast and staff members she admires.

It's worth noting that only four Korean music acts have joined the 1 billion club in the Kpop industry so far. These include PSY, BTS, BLACKPINK, and Jennie. PSY was the first Korean artist to achieve this feat in 2012 with his song 'Gangnam Style'. Interestingly, both BLACKPINK and PSY are from YG Entertainment, although PSY left the company in 2018.

BLACKPINK was the first Kpop group to have a music video surpassing 1 billion views. BTS' DNA music video, released in 2017, was the first to surpass 1 billion views on YouTube in June 2020. Whereas, BLACKPINK's 'Ddu-Du Ddu-Du' released in 2018 was the group's first MV to hit this milestone in 2019.
