The multiple National Award-winning director has delivered acclaimed movies, including Damul, Gangaajal, Apaharan, and Raajneeti, among many others. Bobby Deol receives praise from director Prakash Jha
Director Prakash Jha lauded Bobby for the dedication he showed to his character, Baba Nirala. In a conversation with ANI, he said, "Bobby really worked hard. He has the capacity to play this role, and that is why I thought to cast him. I needed a face that appealed to everyone, and hats off to him; he worked really hard on his character, on the language, on understanding, and 'maine pehle din kaha ki kisi baba ka video mat dekhna...tum apne aap mein baba ho ye vishwas kar lena.'"
Adding to this, the Animal actor shared his reaction when Prakash Jha told him he would play the lead in the series. He stated, "I was willing to play different kinds of roles and step out of my comfort zone. But in the industry, generally, what happens to an actor is the build-up of their image. When I got a message from Prakash ji that he wanted to meet me, I thought he would offer me the role of a police officer. However, when he told me, 'aap baba ka role play karenge', I couldn’t believe it." Bobby Deol continued, "He believed in me, and I got what I wanted. God was kind to me. I got such a challenging role."
