BTS Jungkook took to Weverse on September 17, sharing an update that has fans buzzing. This marks his first public message since his alleged support for the Kpop girl group NewJeans earlier this month. In this latest update, Jungkook supported fellow BTS member Jhope while wishing ARMYs a happy Chuseok holiday.

In a heartwarming reply to J-Hope’s post on Weverse, Jungkook cheered on his hyung, saying, "You've worked hard, jjyahhope," playfully shortening J-Hope’s name. Jungkook also took the time to greet fans with, "I hope you have a good Chuseok," spreading festive joy to everyone celebrating.

This post came after recent speculation surrounding Jungkook’s Instagram activity. On September 14, he shared a post featuring his pet dog, Bam, with a caption that caught his attention. The message, “Artists are not guilty,” accompanied by heart emojis matching NewJeans’ promotional colours, led to widespread rumours about him supporting the girl group amid their ongoing dispute with HYBE.

BIGHIT Music later confirmed that Jungkook’s Instagram post was indeed a gesture of support for NewJeans. While some fans celebrated Jungkook’s stance, others were critical, raising questions about the timing of his post, which coincided with NewJeans’ recent YouTube live broadcast. In the live stream, the members expressed their support for Min Hee Jin and shared stories about issues they had faced under new management.
