The growing trend of celebrity lookalike contests continues to captivate fans, with the latest stars inspiring such competitions being BTS's Jungkook and NCT’s Mark. Following the success of Timothée Chalamet and Zayn Malik’s lookalike contests, these Kpop idols are the next big names on the doppelganger stage, with fans already buzzing about the potential winners.
A poster recently went viral on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), announcing a Jungkook Lookalike Contest set to take place at Tom Ping Park in Chicago on November 24. The prize? A $20 cash reward and a bottle of soju — a quirky and fun twist that has ARMYs laughing.
Fans are excited to see contestants try to embody the BTS maknae’s unique charm. However, many think capturing Jungkook’s distinctive blend of innocence and allure is nearly impossible. Despite this, ARMYs have already pegged Hirai Saya, wife of actor Shim Hyung Tak, as the perfect winner. Saya made headlines in 2023 for her uncanny resemblance to Jungkook, and fans believe no one can rival her likeness.

Adding to the excitement, an NCT Mark Lookalike Contest has also been announced, slated for December 7 at Washington Square Park Arch in New York. Contestants not only get a chance to prove they resemble Mark but can also win a watermelon and enjoy random dance plays of NCT's hit songs — a playful nod to Mark’s endearing personality.

These contests follow the recent success of lookalike competitions centred around Timothée Chalamet and Zayn Malik, proving the concept’s growing popularity. Both Jungkook’s and Mark’s contests are believed to be organized by their respective U.S. fanbases, showcasing how K-pop continues to dominate globally.
While fans gear up for the contests, the idols themselves are busy with their careers. Jungkook is currently fulfilling his mandatory military service and is expected to return in June 2025. Meanwhile, Mark is preparing for his highly anticipated solo album, set to release in February 2025.
