Dhanush Led Captain Miller's Overseas Rights Sold At A Whopping Amount To This Production House | Deets Inside

Dhanush starrer ‘Captain Miller’ was announced on July 28 with the unveiling of its official teaser on the occasion of his 40th birthday. Fans were intrigued with the charisma of the actor delivering high-octane action vibes. Although the teaser did not reveal much about the plot of the film, but ‘Captain Miller’ is touted to be a historical adventure film. The teaser showcases the National Award-winning actor in his action-packed avatar with his rugged look on. The film will hit theatres on December 15.

Ahead of the film’s release, popular production house Lyca Productions have bagged the overseas theatrical rights of the film at a whopping amount. This double digit figure marks the highest numbers in Dhanush’s career. It is also the highest South-Indian film to grab the rights among the tier 2 category by a huge margin. The film’s OTT rights have also been sold at a whopping amount of Rs 38 Crore to a leading National chain.

‘Captain Miller’ is helmed by Arun Matheswaran, who is known for his popular action genre films including ‘Rocky’ and ‘Saani Kaayudham.’ The films starred Vasanth Ravi and Keerthy Suresh in the lead role. ‘Captain Miller’ marks the maiden collaboration of the actor with Dhanush, who also made his Hollywood debut with the spy thriller film, ‘The Gray Man’ last year.

The film is produced by Arjun Thygarajan and Sendhil Thyragaran under their banner Sathya Jyothi Films. ‘Captain Miller’ also stars Shivarajkumar, Priyanka Mohan, and Sundeep Kishan in leading roles. The film will be released in Hindi, Tamil, and in Telugu respectively.
