Gadar 2 Box Office Collection Day 13: ‘Gadar 2’ is creating havoc at the box office. The film stars Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel, and is now moving towards the Rs 500 Crore mark. The film opened alongside ‘OMG 2’ on August 11, a day after the release of Rajinikanth’s Tamil film ‘Jailer.’ All the three films have received a wonderful response from the moviegoers and are running strong in theatres. ‘Gadar 2’ is leading the pack with over Rs 400 Crore collection in less than 2 weeks. On the other hand, ‘Jailer’ stands at Rs 295 Crore, and ‘OMG 2’ at Rs 123 Crore.
‘Gadar 2’ collected Rs 10.40 Crore on its second Wednesday, taking up the total collection around Rs 411.10 Crore. The film opened at Rs 40 Crore and collected Rs 284 Crore in its first week itself. Completing two weeks at the box office and achieving Rs 400 Crore, the film is now competing with ‘Pathaan’ and ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ at the domestic box office.

Recently, Sunny Deol thanked the audience for making the film cross Rs 400 Crore mark. He shared a video on Instagram with tears of joy in his eyes. In the video he said, “Thank you everyone that you liked Gadar 2. I never thought this would happen. We have crossed ₹400 crore and will go further. It was possible only because of you. You all liked the film. You all liked Tara Singh, Sakina and the whole family. Thank you.”

Talking about ‘Gadar 2’, the film follows the story of Tara Singh aka Sunny Deol and Sakeena aka Ameesha Patel, and is set in 1971. Tara Singh again enters Pakistan, however this time for his son Charanjeet Singh, essayed by Utkarsh Sharma. The film is helmed by Anil Sharma.
