Kalki 2898 AD On OTT: Kalki 2898 AD has emerged as one of the standout films of 2024, continuing to receive enthusiastic feedback from audiences. While fans are eagerly anticipating its release on OTT platforms, the official streaming date has finally been announced. The film, featuring Prabhas, Deepika Padukone, and Amitabh Bachchan in leading roles, is set in a post-apocalyptic world and revolves around a quest to save the unborn child of SUM-80, a laboratory subject.

Prepare to delve into a world where mythology intersects with a dystopian future as Kalki 2898 AD (Hindi) makes its exclusive debut on Netflix from August 22, 2024. With Prabhas portraying the mysterious mercenary Bhairavaa, Deepika Padukone as Sumati, and Amitabh Bachchan as the timeless warrior Ashwatthama, Kalki 2898 AD seamlessly fuses science fiction with Indian mythology. Kamal Haasan takes on the role of the primary antagonist, with Disha Patani, Brahmanandam, Saswata Chatterjee, Rajendra Prasad, Shobhana, Pasupathy, and Anna Ben appearing in key supporting roles.

Speaking about the release, director Nag Ashwin shared, "Bringing Kalki 2898 AD (Hindi) to Netflix allows us to share this story with a global audience. It’s a film that delves deep into the themes of hope, destiny, and the eternal struggle between good and evil. We’re excited for viewers to experience this epic journey.

About Kalki 2898 AD

Drawing inspiration from Hindu scriptures, Kalki 2898 AD is the inaugural film in the envisioned Kalki Cinematic Universe. Set in a dystopian future of 2898 AD, the story centers on a group of individuals tasked with rescuing the unborn child of lab subject SUM-80, named Kalki.

The film features a musical score by Santhosh Narayanan, cinematography by Serbian cinematographer Djordje Stojiljkovic, and editing by Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao. With a production budget of ₹600 crore, it stands as the most expensive Indian film ever produced.
