The sixth episode of 'House of the Dragon' Season 2 promises a thrilling twist! After Princess Rhaenys' tragic fate, Team Black must find riders for the powerful dragons Silverwing and Vermithor, who await claimants in the dragonmont. This perilous quest will heighten the battle for the Iron Throne.

Who is Vermithor?

Vermithor, a fierce bronze dragon, is a key player in the upcoming battle. Previously ridden by King Jaehaerys I Targaryen, Vermithor refused to accept a new rider, even the skilled Daemon. However, during the "Dance of the Dragons" and the "Sowing of the Seeds" event, circumstances changed, and Vermithor may finally have a new rider to face off against Vhagar.

Queen Rhaenyra's call for brave men to tame Vermithor and Silverwing (another dragon who is a friendly one) (another dragon who is a friendly one) led to a thrilling competition among dragonseeds, bastards with Valyrian blood. Hugh Hammer emerged victorious, successfully riding Vermithor, setting the stage for an epic showdown in the "Dance of the Dragons".

Vermithor, a formidable dragon renowned for his ferocity, had a reputation for being untamable, with numerous brave warriors who dared to attempt to ride him meeting a fiery demise. His fiery wrath was on full display at the Dragonpit, where he incinerated Lord Gormon Massey, who had the misfortune of trying to approach him. However, in a stunning turn of events, Vermithor surprisingly submitted to Hugh Hammer, a young blacksmith's son, lowering his neck in a gesture of acceptance, marking a pivotal moment in the epic tale of the "Dance of the Dragons".

Who is Silverwing?

Silverwing, an imposing dragon, surpasses the size of Caraxes and Meleys, Team Black's previous largest dragons, but exhibits a more gentle nature, lacking extensive battle experience and agility, particularly compared to Meraxes, who leveraged her quickness to challenge Vhagar. 

Who is larger- Vermithor or Silverwing?

Vermithor, even larger than Silverwing, is second only to Vhagar in terms of claimed dragons, boasting immense strength and ferocity. However, despite his formidable size and brawn, Vermithor lacks the seasoned battle experience that Vhagar has honed, making their potential encounter a fascinating clash of skills.

Who Rides Vermithor And Silverwing?

Ulf the White, a surprise Targaryen bastard, rides Silverwing, while Hugh Hammer, a humble blacksmith, rides Vermithor. Ulf emerged in episode 2, claiming to be Baelon's secret son, while Hugh was introduced in the season premiere as a skilled smith in King's Landing.
