BTS made a powerful comeback with their album ARIRANG debuting at No.1 on the Billboard 200. According to HYBE, they became the first Kpop act to hold the top spot for three consecutive weeks. The title track SWIM also entered the Billboard Hot 100 at No.1, marking the group’s seventh chart-topping hit.
The album’s vinyl edition sold 208,000 copies in a single week — the highest weekly vinyl sales by any group since tracking began in 1991. HYBE stated that BTS' comeback further cemented their position as a defining force in global pop, while also boosting long-term revenue prospects through large-scale touring and strong fan engagement.
According to report in Music Business Worldwide, revenue from artist-driven activities — including music, concerts and advertisements — rose 25.2 per cent year-on-year to 403.7 billion won ($276 million), contributing 58 per cent of total revenue. However, concert revenue fell 42.8 per cent year-on-year to 88.7 billion won ($61 million), as the group’s 85-show world tour only began in April, after the first-quarter reporting period ended.

Revenue from artist indirect activities — such as merchandise, licensing, content and fan memberships — rose 65.5 per cent YoY to 294.7 billion won ($201 million). HYBE attributed the surge to strong tour-related merchandise sales, including BTS light sticks and character goods, along with increased fan club memberships driven by presale access to the group’s world tour.
HYBE reported an operating loss of 196.6 billion won due to a one-time 255 billion won accounting expense tied to a shareholder stock contribution for compensation, calling it a non-recurring item with no impact on net assets. Excluding this, adjusted operating profit rose 170.3 per cent YoY to 58.5 billion won ($40 million) with an 8.4 per cent margin, while adjusted EBITDA climbed 79.1 per cent YoY to 84.8 billion won ($58 million), with a 12.1 per cent margin.
