Coolie Review: The highly awaited Tamil movie Coolie, starring megastar Rajinikanth, has finally been released, and fans are celebrating his grand return to the big screen. The excitement for this movie had been building for months, and now that it’s here, audience reactions are flooding in. Even popular actor Dhanush has shared his take on the film.

After attending an early screening of Coolie, Dhanush gave his opinion to the media and the crowd waiting outside the cinema. In a viral video, he is seen exiting the theatre after watching Rajinikanth and Nagarjuna in action. Clearly thrilled to see Thalaiva back on the big screen, Dhanush rushed out smiling. When reportedly asked what he thought of the movie, he simply gave a big thumbs-up before getting into his car, a gesture that spoke volumes about how much he enjoyed the experience. 

Dhanush And Rajinikanth’s Family Connection

Dhanush was once married to superstar Rajinikanth’s daughter, Aishwaryaa Rajinikanth. The pair tied the knot on 18th November 2004 and have two children together, Yatra and Linga. After almost 20 years of marriage, the couple announced their separation in 2024. Recently, Dhanush has made headlines for his personal life again, with rumours linking him to actress Mrunal Thakur. However, neither party has confirmed the relationship.

About Tamil Movie Coolie

Coolie hit theatres on 14th August and has already created a storm at the box office. The Lokesh Kanagaraj-directed movie sold 1.2 million tickets in just two days on India’s top ticketing platform before release. In North America alone, advance bookings crossed 1.9 million USD (Rs 166.6 crore). Tamil movie Coolie tells the story of a man fuelled by vengeance from a young age, determined to right past wrongs. The action-packed drama features Rajinikanth, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Soubin Shahir, Shruti Haasan, Upendra Rao, Pooja Hegde, Sathyaraj, and Reba Monica John. The film runs for 2 hours and 50 minutes and is backed by producer Kalanithi Maran with music composed by Anirudh Ravichander. Made on a massive Rs 400 crore budget, Coolie has been receiving largely positive reviews.

Dhanush’s Latest Work

On the work front, Dhanush was last seen in Kuberaa, directed by Sekhar Kammula. In the film, he played the role of a beggar. The cast also included Nagarjuna Akkineni, Rashmika Mandanna, Jim Sarbh, and others in key roles.
