King: Shah Rukh Khan is all set to return to the big screen with King, one of his most awaited movies. The action-thriller has already created a buzz, not only because it features intense action but also because it marks the first time the superstar will share screen space with his daughter, Suhana Khan. While fans are excited to see SRK back in action, the movie recently made headlines as there were rumours of the actor getting injured during the shoot.
Earlier this week, several reports claimed that Shah Rukh Khan had hurt his back while filming an action scene for King. Some even went on to say that the shoot had been halted and that SRK had flown to the United States for treatment. This speculation quickly spread across social media, sparking concern among fans.

However, fresh updates have now cleared the air. According to a report in NDTV, these injury rumours are completely false. The report stated, “The rumours of Shah Rukh suffering a back injury on the sets of King are completely untrue.” The report further explained that while the actor has suffered injuries in the past, his recent visit to the US was simply for regular medical check-ups, something he does from time to time. “It’s nothing out of the ordinary,” the report said said.
Earlier, Bollywood Hungama had reported that the actor sustained a minor injury during an action scene at Golden Tobacco studio in Mumbai. Although details of the incident were kept under wraps, the report said it was not serious and appeared to be a muscular strain. The report further added that Shah Rukh has had a long history of performing action scenes and, over the years, has dealt with several minor injuries. To ensure his well-being, his team decided to take precautionary measures and arranged for him to get top-class care abroad.
About King Movie
King is already being talked about as one of the biggest upcoming Bollywood films. Apart from Shah Rukh and Suhana, the movie is expected to feature a star-studded ensemble cast including Deepika Padukone, Rani Mukerji, Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor, Arshad Warsi, Raghav Juyal, and Abhay Verma. Although the full cast has not been officially announced, there’s strong buzz surrounding these names.
Meanwhile, Anil Kapoor will reportedly play SRK’s handler and mentor in the film. The music will be handled by Sachin–Jigar, with background score by Anirudh Ravichander. King is set to be filmed over 100 days in multiple international locations and is aiming for a release between October and December 2026.
Before this, Shah Rukh was last seen in Dunki (2023), directed by Rajkumar Hirani, and prior to that, he led the blockbuster Jawan. Now, with King in the pipeline, fans are eagerly waiting to see the actor bring more action, drama, and emotion to the big screen.
