Mukul Dev, who was a popular actor in the Hindi, Punjabi and South film industry, passed away at the age of 54 on May 23 in Delhi. The reason behind his death his not been disclosed yet. Television and film personality Vindu Dara Singh, who was a close ally to Dev, confirmed the news to India Today. Singh stated that after the death of his parents, Mukul was not meeting anyone. He further shared that Mukul's health condition deteriorated in the past few days. Vindu Dara Singh said, "After his parent's death, Mukul was keeping to himself. He would even step out of the house or meet anyone. His health deteriorated in the last few days and he was in the hospital. My condolences to his brother and everyone who knew and loved him. He was an amazing person, and we will all miss him." After the news broke of his death, several celebrities from the Industry have mourned his death.
Mukul was the younger brother of the Indian popular actor Rahul Dev. The latter shared the post of his sibling's demise and revealed that Mukul passed away on the night of May 23 in Delhi. The cremation ceremony will take place at 5 pm, Nizamuddin West in Delhi.

While mourning Dev’s demise, Manoj Bajpayee wrote on X, “It’s impossible to put into words what I’m feeling. Mukul was a brother in spirit, an artist whose warmth and passion were unmatched. Gone too soon, too young. Praying for strength and healing for his family and everyone grieving this loss. Miss you meri jaan…until we meet again, Om Shanti.”

Sharing an old video of Mukul Dev, Vindu Dara Singh wrote on X, "Rest in peace my brother #MukulDev ! The time spent with you will always be cherished and #SonOfSardaar2 will be your swansong where you will spread joy and happiness to the viewers and make them fall down laughing !"

About Mukul Dev
Mukul made his cinematic debut in 1996 with the film Dastak alongside Sushmita Sen. Since then, there has been no looking back for the actor. He has dominated the silver and small screens with his iconic roles over the years. Dev has worked in some popular movies like Dastak, Shareek, Qila, Mere Do Anmol Ratan, Wajood, Son Of Sardar, Ittefaq and Creature 3D, to name a few. The actor was last seen in Anth: The End, which was released in 2022. It also starred Divya Dutta and Samiksha Bhatnagar in key roles. Mukul Dev was also part of shows like 21 Sarfarosh – Saragarhi 1897, Gharwali Uparwali and State of Siege: 26/11 to name a few.
