Whenever Amazon Prime Video is mentioned, it is inevitable that one would immediately think of some of their popular Hindi shows such as Mirzapur, The Family Man, and Panchayat. But besides those, Amazon Prime Video actually offers some really good Hindi shows which should get a lot more recognition than what they have currently got. From crime thrillers to romantic musicals and emotional dramas, there is something for everyone.

1. Jubilee (2023)

Jubilee is set in the golden age of Hindi movies in the 1940s and 1950s and tells the story of the ambitions of individuals who aim to achieve fame in the movie world. Prosenjit Chatterjee portrays the role of Srikant Roy, the owner of the studio; Aditi Rao Hydari appears in the role of Sumitra Kumari, an actress, while Sidhant Gupta appears as Jay Khanna. This series has only one season comprising 10 episodes.

2. Bambai Meri Jaan (2023)

Inspired by real events, Bambai Meri Jaan tells the story of post-independence Bombay and the rise of the underworld. Kay Kay Menon plays honest policeman Ismail Kadri, while Avinash Tiwary plays his son Dara Kadri, who slowly enters the world of crime. The crime drama has one season with 10 episodes.

3. Gram Chikitsalaya (2025)

The storyline of Gram Chikitsalaya revolves around Prabhat, an enthusiastic doctor played by Amol Parashar, who leaves behind the life of the city to bring back into shape the village hospital that had been forgotten for long. Both Vinay Pathak and Akansha Ranjan Kapoor have made key contributions through their acting skills.

4. Chacha Vidhayak Hai Humare (2018)

This comedy TV series features Ronny Bhaiya played by Zakir Khan. Ronny Bhaiya is a young boy who lies that an influential MLA is his uncle for everybody's sake. As a result of all the lies, one funny situation follows the other. It includes such actors as Alka Amin and Kumar Varun in main characters and consists of 3 seasons with 24 episodes.

5. Afsos (2020)

Afsos is a dark comedy about Nakul, played by Gulshan Devaiah, a man who repeatedly fails to end his own life. His story changes when he meets an unusual assassin, played by Anjali Patil. The series mixes suspense, comedy, and mystery, and has only one season with 8 episodes.

6. Bandish Bandits (2020)

Bandish Bandits is a musical romantic drama about classical singer Radhe, portrayed by Ritwik Bhowmik, and pop star Tamanna, portrayed by Shreya Chaudhry. It is a musical romantic journey that revolves around their dreams in life while dealing with romance, family tradition, and ambitions. This series consists of 2 seasons; first season has 10 episodes and second has 8 episodes. 

7. Laakhon Mein Ek (2017)

Laakhon Mein Ek is a touching drama which brings forth the pressure that young students have to face and goes on to point out the difficulties in the rural healthcare sector in India. Ritvik Sahore acts as Aakash in the first season whereas Shweta Tripathi takes up the role of Dr. Shreya in the second season. Laakhon Mein Ek consists of two seasons; six in the first one and eight in the second.
