Once again, Bhansali is making sure not to leave any stone unturned in the making of another masterpiece.

Love & War: Ranbir Kapoor vs Vicky Kaushal Face-Off

Sanjay Leela Bhansali will present a high-stakes battle between his lead characters, Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal. According to a source quoted by Pinkvilla, "The film revolves around two strong-headed men played by Ranbir and Vicky, who engage in a tug-of-war for Alia Bhatt’s character. SLB has already shot some intense confrontation sequences between RK and Vicky and is thrilled with the results. Both actors bring exceptional screen presence and have delivered electrifying performances."

The source also revealed, "In fact, the trio of RK, Alia, and Vicky have completely surrendered themselves to SLB’s world. The shoot is going smoothly, and the film is on track for a release in March 2026."

Ranbir and Vicky’s roles are distinct from each other, according to reports. Bhansali, under his vision, will bring contrasting personalities to the characters—Ranbir’s character will be darker with an aggressive tone, while Vicky’s character, from Chhaava fame, will be calmer. It will be interesting to see this face-off and the new pairing of the lead cast on the big screen for the first time.

Ranbir, who made his Bollywood debut with Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Saawariya, will collaborate with the director again after almost 17 years for this film. Recently, he shared how it feels to be on Bhansali's set. The actor said, "To work with him again, I can say this with so much clarity that I haven’t met a human being who works so hard, who understands characters, emotions, music, Indian culture, and the Indian value system as much as Sanjay Leela Bhansali. Just to be on his set, it is tiring. It is long. The process can be a little daunting, but eventually, as an artist, it is so satisfying. He really nurtures art. As actors, it’s truly been amazing so far."
